Sarah Abbott
Clinical Exercise Physiologist, AEP, ESSAM.
Sarah is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, and previously worked as a Marine-Environmental Scientist for 7 years. Throughout this time, she also sought help for the management of persistent back pain and a spinal condition, known as Ankylosing Spondylitis. Understanding some of the fascinating science behind pain and experiencing first-hand the empowering role and therapeutic value of movement, Sarah made the decision to retrain in Exercise Physiology.
After graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 2017 with a Postgraduate diploma in Clinical Exercise Physiology, Sarah enjoyed providing practical support to clients and cultivating an environment, within clinic settings, that allowed individuals to feel safe in exploring and building on their goals and capabilities. Influenced enormously by her own journey, Sarah’s areas of special interest are related to chronic pain management and concepts of ‘predictive processing’ and ‘play’ within rehabilitation and wellbeing.
